Two people were injured in an SUV vs. motorcycle collision Saturday evening.
Chad M. Lucero received injuries described as moderate in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. He was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. Shan’tierra D. Buckels of Kansas City, Missouri received minor injuries and was taken by private conveyance to Lake Regional Hospital.
The 27-year-old Lucero was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle east in the eastbound lanes of US Highway 54 when a 2006 Ford Expedition crossed two lanes of traffic into the motorcycle’s path, striking the Harley in the side, according to the crash report. The collision occurred north of Runabout Road in Camden County around 5:45 p.m. July 14, 2018.
Dominique R. Jones Alstork, 33, of Kansas City, Missouri was the drive of the Ford. Twenty-one-year-old Buckels was a passenger in the Ford.
The report indicates Lucero was wearing a helmet and the two women in the Ford were seatbelts.
