A Texas man had minor injuries, but was saved from much worse after nearly drowning in Lake of the Ozarks Friday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol incident report Cedric L. Frank of Dallas suffered a medical condition while swimming near the 5 mile marker of the Little Niangua Arm around 5 p.m. July 6, 2018. The 59-year-old was not wearing a lifejacket.
The report states Frank went under multiple times before being rescued.
Frank was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
According to additional information provided by the MSHP, Frank was swimming with a group near an anchored vessel, and a person from his group swam over and saved him.
