Two Stover teens were injured in a one-vehicle crash in Pettis County Thursday morning, with one being medevaced to University Hospital in Columbia.

Ruben Rubio, 18, had injuries described as serious in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. He was the driver of the 2002 Nissan Pathfinder.

Passenger Colton T. Johannes, 17, had injuries described as moderate. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital. 

According to the MSHP report, the Nissan was southbound and went off the right side of Route M and overcorrected, then went off the left side of the road. The vehicle struck a ditch and overturned about one-half mile north of Route A. 

The accident occurred around 10:50 a.m. June 28, 2018.

Both Rubio and Johannes were ejected from the Nissan. The report indicated neither was wearing a seatbelt.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
