Janey Elizabeth Snyder Banner, went to heaven on Wings of Angels on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Janey was born on July 17, 1940 in Macks Creek, Missouri to Roy E. and Ruby M. (Hart) Snyder. On November 21, 1958 she married Robert Wayne Banner and to this union 4 children were born; Roberta Jean Banner Rooffener, Timothy Lynn Banner, Thomas Lee Banner, & Doris Mae Banner.

Janey was raised in the Macks Creek area and worked several years as a bartender at some of the local establishments. Later in years, she worked for Tan-Tar-A, as Employees Cafeteria Supervisor Chef. Janey retired from Tan-Tar-A in 1992 after 18 years of service, due to her health.

Janey used to go to Dogwood Thrift store and help cut buttons off donated clothing for many years and made many friends while she volunteered her time there. Back in the day, she used to make homemade wine for her friends. A lot of them hung the name ‘Wine Maker’ on her and it sort of stuck with her over the years.

She was always a very outspoken person and never new a stranger. If she was your friend, she was your friend for life. No if ands about it.

Janey was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Ruby Snyder; brothers, Lloyd, Gene and Ralph Snyder; son Timothy Lynn Banner; daughter Doris Mae Banner and her children’s’ father Rob.
