The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting for Great Stone Coffee, 1375 State Hwy. KK, Osage Beach. Attendees included Great Stone Coffee owners and staff and friends, as well as Lake Area Chamber staff and several board members. The ribbon cutting celebrated their new membership with the chamber and the grand opening of the newest coffee shop in town. Afterward, the crowd was treated to entertainment by Todd Hanks, Larry Williams, Lori Ann Stuckmeyer and a very special performance from KU Improv. Great Stone Coffee is providing Lake of the Ozarks with its first taste of Kaldi’s Coffee, one of the premier roasters in the nation. The premium beans are combined with GC Water, a water filtration technology which eliminates all tastes and odors except those that specifically bond well with coffee. In addition, Great Stone Coffee will offer a food selection including A Girl and Her Truck Baked Goods baked fresh by Marlena Hatmaker. Keep an eye out for up and coming talented local artists bringing music, poetry, and theatre productions to the Great Stone stage. Great Stone Coffee is owned by William Runyon Jr, a resident of Lake of the Ozarks since his days in grade school. As a co-founder of the Osage Beach Farmer’s Market, and member of several arts and culture organizations, Will has long demonstrated a dedication to building community. For nearly 20 years Will has longed for a local venue dedicated to showcasing and growing the creative culture of the Lake area while providing truly great coffee. That dream has now come true, in the form of Great Stone Coffee.
