The Lake Sun and LakeNewsOnline.com, along with the Westside Star and Focus newspapers, will be kicking off coverage of the upcoming 2018 August primaries. We are interested in learning what you, the residents of the tri-county region, have to say about the issues facing Lake of the Ozarks.

In July and August, the Lake Sun will be joining with the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce and the University of Missouri Extension-Camden County, to host candidates forums for contested races on the August ballot in Camden County.

In order to prepare for general coverage and the forums, we’d like for readers to get involved. We want to know what issues we should focus on and what questions we should be asking candidates about everything from the Senate race to the county races. Do you have questions about roads, planning and zoning and/or what you, our reader, would like to know about the various county offices.

If you aren’t a registered voter, you still have time to register before the deadline for the August primary. The deadline to register to vote on August 7 in the primary is July 11.

For more information on voter registration or absentee balloting contact your respective county clerk. Send us your questions or ideas or give us a call. You can reach us by email at newsroom@lakesunonline.com or call Joyce Miller or Amy Wilson at 573-346-2132.
