Margaret Katherine Pierce, daughter of Lorenza Edward and Flossie Lovonia Gibson Cyrus, was born, February 10, 1937 in Roach. She departed this life, Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Strafford Care Center, Strafford at the age of eighty-one years.

Margaret Katherine Pierce, daughter of Lorenza Edward and Flossie Lovonia Gibson Cyrus, was born, February 10, 1937 in Roach. She departed this life, Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Strafford Care Center, Strafford at the age of eighty-one years.

On July 17, 1954 in Camdenton, she was united in marriage to Joseph M. Pierce and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, Anita Pierce and Michael Pierce and a sister, Theo Rogers.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Jennifer and Steven Franklin of Fair Grove, Melissa Bowles of Camdenton, and Jeff Bowles of Eldon; five great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandson; her siblings, Dora Mae Knox, Ann Bonacker and Loren Cyrus; a nephew, Jerry and Bertha Rogers. Margaret grew up in the Camdenton area until moving to Kansas City in 1951, where she graduated from Manuel High School and Vocational School in 1954. This is where she met her husband Joe and were married. They moved back to Camdenton in 1961 and bought a farm. In 1971, they sold the farm and kept two acres where they lived in their forever home.

Margaret went to work at Farmer-Foster Insurance in 1963. She worked hard and earned her insurance license.

Margaret made a profession of faith and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Margaret will be deeply missed by everyone that loved and knew her. She has blessed her family and friends with many memories. We celebrate her life and know that she is rejoicing in heaven being with her husband, children and all of her family and free of any pain.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, May 25, 2018 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service in the funeral home.
