Emmett F. Scott was medevaced by the Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

A Brumley man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck in Miller County Tuesday evening.

Emmett F. Scott was medevaced by the Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The 80-year-old was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger east on Highway 42 when the pickup went off the right side of the roadway after Blackmore Road. The vehicle struck a culvert and went airborne. Upon landing back on the highway, the pickup slid and went off the left side of the roadway, overturning and striking a tree before stopping.

The report indicated Scott was wearing a seatbelt. The pickup was described as totaled and was towed from the scene.

MSHP was dispatched at 7:19 p.m. May 22, 2018.
