Not wearing a seatbelt, the man was ejected from the car after it overturned.
A Camdenton man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Maries County Monday night.
Daryl L. Burke, 44, was the driver of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria that overturned on Highway 42 four miles west of Belle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. After being flown by Phelps Air to Capitol Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, he was pronounced deceased at 11:49 p.m. May 21, 2018 at Capitol Region.
The crash occurred around 9:40 p.m.
Passenger Kory A. Burke,19, of St. Clair, Missouri received minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla for treatment.
According to the MSHP report, Daryl Burke was driving the car west when he failed to negotiate a curve. The car went off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report, Daryl Burke was ejected.
The report indicates Kory Burke was wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle described the car as totaled.
This was MSHP Troop I region’s third fatality for May and its 12 in 2018.
