Ronald Lee Dawson, age 55, of rural Edwards, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at his home. He was born in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, on December 21, 1962, the son of Raymond Albert Dawson and Virginia Pauline Hounshell Dawson. He was raised in Anne Arundel County and graduated from South River High school in 1980. He then started a career in trucking.

Ronald Lee Dawson, age 55, of rural Edwards, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at his home. He was married to Suzanne Bartley in 1991 in Bowie, Maryland. They continued to live in the area and were owner/operators of their own trucks. Unto this union two children were born. He then began working for the Anne Arundel school district as a sports turf technician. In 2016 after retiring, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by Suzanne Bartley, of the home, a son, Ronald Lee Dawson, Jr. (Rachel Blakely), of Arizona, a daughter, Christina Grace Dawson (Jarret Harbarger) of Maryland, and was the father figure of a step-daughter, Gracelynn Bartley. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Ronald Lee “Tres” Dawson, III, and Jaret “JJ” Harbarger, Jr., and a brother Raymond “Randy” A. Dawson, Jr. He is also survived by his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Robert and Gail Bartley.

Ronnie loved to tinker with things and could always get it fixed. He had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off of his back.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 6 P.M. at the New Hope Methodist Church, 32912 Spry Rd. Edwards, Missouri, Memorial services in Maryland will be held on June 8, 2018, at 3 P.M. at the Weems Creek Baptist Church, 600 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, Maryland 21401. After this service the Ronnie’s Family would like you to join them in a celebration of life held at Sunny Shores Beach, 763 Bon Haven Dr., Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
