The Lake Area Community Orchestra is happy to announce a nine-concert summer schedule. These concerts take place in various communities and places around the Lake of the Ozarks region.

The Lake Area Community Orchestra is happy to announce a nine-concert summer schedule. These concerts take place in various communities and places around the Lake of the Ozarks region.

The theme of this series is “A Scott Joplin Retrospective.” Music selections include “American Riversongs,” “A Tribute to Artie Shaw,” “A Scott Joplin Retrospective,” “James Bond” and “Seventy-Six Trombones.”  By tradition, the orchestra always closes with “Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever.”

There is no admission to the concerts, but free-will donations are accepted.

7 p.m. May 29 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hatler St., Russellville

7 p.m. June 5 at Ha Ha Tonka Castle, Route D, Camdenton (bring a chair)

7 p.m. June 12 at Eldon Air Park, Eldon (bring a chair and rain location is Baptist Church)

7 p.m. June 19 at West Lake Christian Church, Route O, Laurie

7 p.m. June 26 at Pomme de Terre First Methodist Church, Hermitage

7 p.m. July 10 at Hope Lutheran Senior Center, Hwy. 54, Osage Beach

7 p.m. July 17 at First Christian Church, East Capitol Ave., Jefferson City

7 p.m. July 24 at The Royal Theatre, Versailles

7 p.m. July 31 at Lake Ozark Christian Church, Business 54, Lake Ozark
