Under clear skies, the Eldon Class of 2018 took their final walk across the stage as high school students, and with a turn of their tassels and toss of their hats, officially ended their high school days. With the strains of “You Raise Me Up,” the band and chamber choir honored the graduates during the ceremony Sunday afternoon, May 13, 2018, at Mustang Memorial Park. With words of encouragement from Class President Brianna Henderson, Salutatorian Hattie Grisham and Valedictorian Bailey Farris, 132 students were awarded diplomas. Of those, four were awarded Bright Flight Scholarships for scoring 31 and above on the ACT. Five graduated with their Associate of Arts degree from State Fair Community College along with their high school diploma, and 63 earned the A+ designation for state community colleges.
