An Eldon man injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon was arrested for drugged driving and other alleged violations.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report described Gregory A. Heintz’ injuries as minor. The 40-year-old was taken by private conveyance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred around noon on May 13, 2018. An online crash report from the MSHP indicates Heintz was arrested at 1:09 p.m. for driving while intoxicated - drugs, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, no seatbelt and no insurance.
Heintz was driving a 2005 Ford Ranger east on Village Marina Road, off of Route W southwest of Eldon, when the pickup crossed the center line, and the driver overcorrected, the MSHP report states. The vehicle then exited the right side of the roadway and struck a tree east of Unicorn Road.
The crash report indicated Heintz was not wearing a seatbelt. The pickup had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
