Dave Tomlinson is receiving the Lieutenant Governor’s Senior Service Award for being an outstanding volunteer and making a difference in the lives of many individuals impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Dave has been a vital part of the Alzheimer’s Association’s success in the Lake area. After his wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Dave decided to take action, beginning with starting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the Lake area.

Over the last six years, Dave has contributed more than 1,500 volunteer hours to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter. Dave is involved and active in many capacities. He is a member of the Board of Directors and acts as an Alzheimer’s advocate, volunteering in Jefferson City and Washington, D.C. He is also a facilitator for a men’s support group that meets the second Wednesday of each month, and he is also a Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee member.
