Drugged driving was allegedly part of a crash in Miller County Saturday evening.

Taylor D. Hicks, 34, of Osage Beach was arrested by a state trooper following a one-vehicle wreck on Route Y east of Oak Drive at 5 p.m. April 28, 2018.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report stated that the 2001 Dodge Durango was eastbound when it failed to negotiate a curve. The SUV went off the right side of the roadway and overturned, coming to a rest on its top in a creek. The SUV was totaled.

Hicks was arrested at 7:05 p.m. for driving while intoxicated - drugs, first offense; failure to drive on the right half of the roadway involving an accident; no valid license; failure to display valid plates; failure to maintain financial responsibility; and possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana. 

Hicks received injuries described as moderate. He was released by the MSHP to be taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.

The report indicated Hicks was wearing a seatbelt.
