According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, driver Jordan H. Humphreys, 18, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, April 8 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He had been seriously injured in a crash at 6:30 p.m. on Highway 5 at Harvest Road Friday, April 6.

Humphreys was airlifted to Mercy Hospital for treatment.

Robert T. Baker, 19, of Kaiser, Missouri was a passenger in the 1996 Chevrolet Astro van Humphreys was driving. Baker received injuries described as moderate in the MSHP crash report and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. 

The van ran off the right side of the road and overturned north of Camdenton, the MSHP report states. 

The report indicated that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. The van was totaled and towed from the scene.

Humphreys' death was MSHP Troop F region's second fatality in April and its 11th in 2018.

It was also the second fatal accident in the vicinity of Highway 5 and Harvest Road in the last two weeks. A triple fatality collision occurred on Highway 5 between Harvest Road and Highway 5 Niangua Bridge on March 22.
