Racen said he is "devastated" and is "trying to process" the event and the aftermath.

Dustin Racen, owner of Lake House 13, restaurant and bar in Sunrise Beach, has not decided whether or not he will rebuild Lake House 13. The restaurant caught on fire Tuesday morning.

Racen said he is "devastated" and is "trying to process" the event and the aftermath. According to a post Racen wrote on the Lake House 13's Facebook page, Racen is "at a loss of words. I don't have too much information as to the cause and am definitely still processing this but I wanted to at least address the situation."

The restaurant opened in May of 2017. Racen said the number of employees vary depending on the season; he has 30 to 40 employees.

According to Fire Chief Dennis Reilly, Sunrise Beach firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the Shawnee Bend area at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

No one reported any injuries or fatalities.

Reilly said the fire started at the back of the restaurant and worked its way forward. He confirmed it to be a total loss.

Personnel arrived at the scene in 12 minutes. The building was about 50 percent involved, according to personnel.

The State Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause which is not determined right now.

The Lake Sun will follow up with any future plans.
