A popular new lakefront venue appears to be a total loss after a fire Tuesday morning.

Sunrise Beach firefighters were dispatched to a report of a fire at Lake House 13 in the Shawnee Bend area at 6:05 a.m. February 27, 2018, according to Chief Dennis Reilly.

Personnel arrived on scene in 12 minutes to find the building about 50 percent involved, he said.

According to Reilly, the fire started at the rear of the building and moved forward.

Lake Ozark, Osage Beach and Rocky Mount firefighters assisted in subduing the blaze, and firefighters prepared to clear the scene around 9 a.m. Lake West Ambulance also responded to the scene, but no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The building and contents appeared to be a total loss, according to Reilly.

The State Fire Marshal is on scene investigating the cause which is undetermined at this time, he said.
