Just in time for Valentine’s Day, OpenTable has released its 2018 list of the “Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America” and the Lake of the Ozarks’ Baxter’s Lakeside Grille has made the list.

The popular reservation website, OpenTable gathered opinions of more than 12 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 26,000 restaurants in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. to determine the nation’s most romantic spots for dining.

“We are thrilled to be named by OpenTable diners as one of the most romantic restaurants in the country,” said Ted Geiger of Baxter’s Lakeside Grille. “The Lake of the Ozarks’ view provides an exceptional backdrop to the outstanding dining experience we strive to provide for every guest, and we love treating our couples to a romantic experience.”

In addition to their regular menu items, Baxter’s will offer a special menu from Wednesday, February 14 through Saturday, February 17. The Valentine’s menu will feature chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon from Storypoint Vineyards and a Chocolate Strawberry Martini. The chef’s cut feature will be an 8 oz. filet mignon seasoned with kosher salt and cracked pepper, paired with crab-stuffed portabella mushroom and finished with rock shrimp cream sauce, served with roasted purple and sweet potatoes and sautéed asparagus.

Also on the Valentine’s special menu, the fresh catch feature will be a panko-encrusted sea bass in sundried tomato cream with mushroom risotto and sautéed asparagus. For dessert, diners will enjoy a Ruby Port poached pear with vanilla bean gelato.
