It may be weeks before law enforcement have a clear understanding of the cause of death of a 33-year-old Richland woman who had been reported missing in December of last year.
The body of Regina Nicole Harris, 33, was recovered Sunday, January 28, 2018 after being found by a landowner. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Department, an autopsy performed last week was inconclusive and a cause of death will not be determined until additional tests are completed.
The sheriff’s department did say foul play is not suspected at this time and declined to release any further information.
Harris was reported missing by her boyfriend on December 27, 2017 after she had purportedly left the residence on foot on December 16, 2017, leaving her child with the boyfriend.
Regina’s mother and father, who reside out of state, had not heard from their daughter in over a month at the time her disappearance was reported.
The sheriff’s department did not release any additional information about the disappearance.
