A Kansas City man was injured Thursday evening when the pickup truck he was riding in flipped in southern Morgan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Howard V. Brown, 37, received minor injuries and taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the 2001 Chevrolet 1500 was his brother Harold V. Brown, 36, of Laurie. Harold Brown was not listed with any injuries.

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. February 1, 2018 on Towering Oak Lane, off Route O, about 702 feet south of Giant Oak Drive. 

The crash report states the pickup was southbound when it ran off the left side of the roadway. Striking a culvert, the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top.

The report indicates neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. The pickup was described as totaled and was left at the scene.
