Police say the 49-year-old Osage Beach man was on his way to warm up excavation equipment behind Backwater Jacks used for a nearby project when the incident occurred Sunday.

The video has become one of the most watched in the lake area.

A quick thinking Phillip Randazzo, 49, of Osage Beach, leaped from his pickup truck about 11:11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, as it began to slide down the steep and icy parking lot at the waterfront bar and restaurant Backwater Jacks. The pickup continued down the parking lot, through a fence, then clips a building. The pickup flies through the air mostly across a swimming pool before crashing nose first onto the edge of a swimming pool, flipping over and sliding upside down into a light pole and fence before coming to rest. The next stop would have been the lake.

The Osage Beach Police Department says Randazzo was on his way to warm up excavation equipment behind the business used for a nearby project when the incident occurred.

There were no injuries.
