In June 2017 I was a patient at LRH for nine days; five of them in ICU. I truly appreciated the professionalism, knowledge and patient care that was provided by the physicians, nurses, technicians and volunteers.

Last February 2017 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast surgery was completed in March 2017 at Lake Regional Hospital (LRH) by Dr. John Patton, DO, FACOS; and Dr. David B. Huang, MD, plastic surgeon. My type of breast cancer required chemo-therapy.  I made the choice to have my treatments at the LRH Cancer Center. The LRH Cancer Center is the highest rated cancer center in Missouri. It is also one of 75 national recipients of an outstanding achievement award from the American College of Surgeons. My mind was made up. Why travel outside of the lake area when there was a hospital at the lake with these credentials?
I was a chemo patient from April-September 2017.  I received outstanding care and support throughout this long process.  I was at the hospital weekly; sometimes two or three times a week.  I received exceptional care from Dr. Michael Wang, MD, oncology/hematology, and his professional staff.  Brandy Kincaid, NP-C, physician’s assistant, and Angela (Angel) Frisbie, RN, were on top of it at all times!   For my situation, traveling outside the lake area was not an option. I would have been on the road all the time which would have definitely impacted my quality of life.

This should make us all proud of this fine facility.  Their professional and personalized patient care went a long way in my healing process. I am now on the road to full recovery.
A special thanks to the high quality LRH medical staff. Their professional and personalized patient care reflects great credit upon themselves and the community.
