A five-year-old received injuries described as moderate in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report and was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
UPDATE: Another passenger was apparently injured in this crash. Ella N. Fairchild, 10, of Hartville, Mo. received what was described as minor injuries in the crash report. She was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. The report indicated she was utilizing a safety device.
INITIAL REPORT: A five-year-old was injured in a one-vehicle wreck in Miller County Thursday afternoon.
David J. Steffe of Mountain Grove, Mo. received injuries described as moderate in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. He was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred on Eastbound US Highway 54 about one-quarter mile west of Business 54 around 3 p.m. January 4, 2018.
Elizabeth A. Huckabey, 55, of Mountain Grove was the driver of a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee that went off the left side of the roadway and stuck a drainage ditch, according to the report.
The report indicates the child was in a safety device and Huckabey was not. She is not listed with injuries.
The Jeep was described as having moderate damage.
