The court document alleges the two had made plans to meet up during the holiday and the victim had developed a crush on Russell whom she met through CALO. The victim allegedly told Russell she was 14-years-old before they met up on those dates.

A 21-year-old Lake Ozark man has been charged with six felonies for allegedly raping and sodomizing a 14-year-old female victim, according to a probable cause statement filed in Camden County Associate Court.

An arrest warrant for Bradley Ryan Russell was filed by Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Heather Miller on December 27, 2017 with the crimes alleged to have been committed on November 23 and November 25, 2017.

Russell is charged with four counts of second degree statutory sodomy, Class D felonies, and two counts of second degree statutory rape, also Class D felonies, according to CaseNet.com. Judge Aaron Koeppen has been assigned the case.

According to the probable cause statement, the investigation began on December 4, 2017 when a deputy with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office was instructed to make contact with an investigator from the Missouri Department of Social Services Out-of-Home Investigations Unit in reference to allegations made against a staff member at the CALO residential treatment facility for teens in Lake Ozark.

The document states that a 14-year-old juvenile female allegedly told another peer that she had sexual intercourse with a CALO staff member over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and later disclosed the same information to a therapist. The victim did not disclose the name of the male staff member, but another peer made a statement allegedly identifying Russell as the staff member.

According to the probable cause statement, investigators contacted the adoptive mother of one of the victim’s peers who told detectives that they had camera footage of the victim sneaking away from a vacation residence where they were staying over the holiday break.

The victim, her peer and family stayed at the condo from November 22 to November 25 before returning to CALO, which was later confirmed via driveway video footage seized from a tablet that also allegedly had a picture of an unknown male subject.

Russell was placed on suspension from work, according to the document, after CALO staff learned of the allegations. The victim allegedly snuck out of the house to meet up with Russell after the family had fallen asleep and then engaged in sexual intercourse in Russell’s vehicle.

The court document alleges the two had made plans to meet up during the holiday and the victim had developed a crush on Russell whom she met through CALO. The victim allegedly told Russell she was 14-years-old before they met up on those dates.

Prior to suspension, Russell who was hired in august of 2017, was transferred to a different area away from the victim because “she had a crush on him.” A supervisor was able to identify the male subject from the tablet photo as Russell. He was reportedly fired in late November, according to the statement.

A follow up interview conducted by Kid’s Harbor also corroborated the sexual nature of the relationship, the document details.
