She was charged with operating a vehicle without a valid license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, no insurance, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident and driving while intoxicated - felony - persistent offender.

A 53-year-old Eldon woman suffered injuries described as serious and was later arrested following a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Miller County. 

Vicki L. Spencer was driving a 2001 Ford Focus northbound at approximately 3:24 p.m. on December 7, 2017 at Route Y and Route Z when the crash occurred, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. 

The driver failed to negotiate a curve and travelled off the left side of the roadway before overturning, the report stated. Spencer, listed without a seat belt, was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by Miller County EMS. The vehicle was listed as totaled. 

Approximately two hours later, Spencer was placed under arrest and released for medical treatment, according to an MSHP arrest report.
