A 26-year-old Lebanon man was arrested on Wednesday after Camdenton Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Palm Gardens in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

A 26-year-old Lebanon man was arrested on Wednesday after Camdenton Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Palm Gardens in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

According to a press release from CPD, at approximately 11:45 a.m. on November 29, 2017, officers located the vehicle and make contact with a white male subject later identified as Ryan Lee Bethel.

As the suspect exited the vehicle, a bag allegedly containing methamphetamine and currency fell from the vehicle onto the ground. Bethel then ran into the woods, the release stated.

After an extensive search by CDP and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was taken into custody several hours later and transported to the Camden County Detention Center.

He has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond has been set at $1,000 cash.
