Offenses were mainly for drug possession but also included burglary, assault, stealing, child endangerment and possession of child pornography.

Sixteen offenders were sentenced to terms of imprisonment in the Department of Corrections in Morgan County Circuit Court action in November 2017. 

1. Silence S. Hyman – Sentenced to 15 years in the Department of Corrections (DOC) on the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance – prior and persistent drug offender.

2. Sheldon C. Stull – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 7 years concurrent in DOC for the Class C Felony of Burglary 2nd Degree.

3. Jonathan Dillard – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Domestic Assault 2nd Degree under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

4. David W. Higginbotham – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

5. Michael P. Worthley – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program and 4 years consecutive for the Class E Felony of Assault 3rd Degree also under RSMo 559.115 with preference for ITC.

6. Michelle L. Wood – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 7 years concurrent in DOC for the Class E Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

7. Bertrand A. Eichelberger - Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of Child Pornography and 4 years in DOC for the Class E Felony of Fail to Register as a Sex Offender; both counts ran consecutively for a total of 11 years.

8. Eric J. Riggs – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Prior and Persistent Felony Offender and 4 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Resisting Arrest.

9. Michael A. Shoemaker - Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

10. Matthew R. Mannering – Sentenced to 3 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Resisting Arrest.

11. Darin L. Wickham – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Domestic Assault 2nd Degree under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

12. Christopher A. Kennedy – Sentenced to 4 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Stealing a Motor Vehicle and 6 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance; both counts ran consecutively for a total of 10 years.

13. Daniel L. Lankford – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

14. Jason D. Jackson – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Prior Drug Offender under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

15. Jerry D. Priest – Sentenced to 3 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Stealing - $750 or more.

16. Vanessa N. Arnold – Sentenced to 8 years in DOC for three counts of the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with preference for the 120 day Institutional Treatment Center program.

These cases were prosecuted by Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney Dustin G. Dunklee and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Douglas Kinde and Derik Kinde, through the efforts of Dunklee’s staff members and the professional investigations of all law enforcement agencies involved.
