The Camdenton Speech and Debate team had strong showings at two recent speech tournaments, the Osage Invitational Speech Tournament held on Oct. 28-29 and the Willard-Republic tournament October 20-21.

The Camdenton Speech and Debate team had strong showings at two recent speech tournaments, the Osage Invitational Speech Tournament held on Oct. 28-29 and the Willard-Republic tournament October 20-21.

At the Osage tournament, the Camdenton students placed second overall out of 17 teams at the event.

On October 20-21, Willard High School hosted the varsity competition while Republic High School hosted novices (first-year competitors). Twenty-six schools in total competed at the two-day tournament including state and national powerhouses such as Springfield-Central, Glendale and Kickapoo.
