Venson Joseph (Joe) Hollandsworth, age 84, of Montreal passed away Saturday, November 4 at his residence.

Joe, the son of Hobert and Myra Robinett, was born March 29, 1933 in Freedom, Missouri.

Joe, known as "Captain Joe" worked at Kirkwood Lodge for more than 50 years. He was in charge of maintenance and taught water skiing. In his spare time he enjoyed building, gardening, fishing, and tending to his chickens, ducks, and goats. Joe was an avid American League Baseball Fan, and especially cheered on the Yankees and the Kansas City Royals. He enjoyed eating Oreo cookies and spending time with his friends and family.

Joe is survived by his children; sons: David and wife Christie of Montreal; Dennis of Eldon; and Daniel (Dano) of Montreal; three daughters: Connie Stacy of Montreal; Teresa Hampton and husband Martin of Camdenton; and Kris Wilder and husband, John, of Montreal; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; two brothers: Robert of Linn Creek and William (Dee) and his wife Mary Jane of Richwoods, MO.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; five sisters; and four brothers.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 7 at 12 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Freedom Cemetery in Montreal.
