Early in the morning of October 31, Mid-County Fire Protection District was dispatched to a residential structure fire on State Route AA at W.S. Osborn Road in Roach. Fire units arrived to find the residential structure completely involved in fire with the roof already collapsing.
Additionally, the fire had spread to a mobile home located behind the residence and to a construction trailer in front of the residence. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in approximately thirty minutes. The house and the mobile home were unoccupied at the time of the fire, and both structures were completely destroyed. There were no injuries.
MCFPD responded with two engines and three tankers. They were assisted on the scene by an engine from Osage Beach Fire Protection District and a tanker from the Southwest Fire Protection District. Camden County Sheriff’s Office provided traffic control during the incident.
The cause of the fire is undetermined but does not appear to be suspicious. The fire is being investigated by the Mid-County Fire Marshal.
All units cleared the scene by 8:45 a.m.
