Two weeks after a shooting south of Stover, a 21-year-old man out on bond from another charge has been arrested and charged in relation to an incident in which another man was shot in the leg.
According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Steven Plowman of Stover on Oct. 24 for first degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
Police allege that on Oct. 11 shots were fired through the walls of a residence on Ozarks Heights Road. The shots came from outside the residence.
An adult male in the residence was struck in the leg by one of the bullets, according to the press release. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and released the following day.
The press release states that this is an ongoing investigation, and no further information was immediately available. LakeNews is working to get the probable cause statement on the charges.
Plowman’s bond has been set at $500,000 cash or surety.
According to Case.net, Plowman was out on a $15,000 surety bond after being charged for possession of a controlled substance in March 2017.
