The Missouri Sheriff's Association Training Academy will host a basic training course in Camdenton scheduled to start this winter, according to a press release from the Camden County Sheriff's Office.

The Missouri Sheriff's Association Training Academy will host a basic training course in Camdenton scheduled to start this winter, according to a press release from the Camden County Sheriff's Office. 

The part-time basic 700-hour class will start January 11, 2017 and run through November, 2018 with classes meeting every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and some Sunday sessions. The course will be held at the MSU-Camdenton Public Safety Training Center.

Classes will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m. during the weekdays while the weekend sessions will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., according to the release. 

The cost of the course is listed at $5,000 for tuition, $275 for processing fees, and $43.05 for a background check. To obtain an application, visit mosheriffs.com or call 573-635-9644.
