A Versailles man has been charged with drug trafficking, and two others are also facing charges after a traffic stop and investigation in Morgan County Monday resulted in the confiscation of 72 grams of meth.

A Versailles man has been charged with drug trafficking, and two others are also facing charges after a traffic stop and investigation in Morgan County Monday resulted in the confiscation of 72 grams of meth.

According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a 2005 Chevrolet pickup on Highway 52 east of Stover Oct. 2. Driver Brian Anson, 42, of Versailles gave consent to search the vehicle, and approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine were allegedly found.

Anson has been charged with second degree drug trafficking, a class B felony. Bond was set at $250,000 cash or surety.

In a “related investigation,” the press release states that deputies searched a residence in the 400 block of Clay Road in Versailles on Oct. 2. Approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales and packaging material were reportedly recovered.

Deborah Moberly, 59, of Versailles was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class C felony, and possession of a controlled substance, class D felony. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety. 

Douglass Elizabeth Middleton, 18, of Versailles was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.
