At approximately 10:53 a.m. on October 3, 2017, a MSHP trooper responded to a report of a body floating in the water near the 67-mile marker of the Osage Arm in Little Buffalo Cove.

A 51-year-old Stover man was found deceased, floating in the Lake of the Ozarks late Tuesday morning, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Marine Division drowning incident report. 

At approximately 10:53 a.m. on October 3, 2017, a MSHP trooper responded to a report of a body floating in the water near the 67-mile marker of the Osage Arm in Little Buffalo Cove. 

Next of kin has been notified and the victim has been identified as Jerrold S. Wilson. 

"The victim was located floating face down between the dock and the shoreline," according to the report. 

Wilson was pronounced deceased at the scene at 12:10 p.m. by Morgan County Coroner Dr. B. Jones. 

This was Troop F's first drowning for the month of October and 11th overall for the year. 

MSHP was assisted by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office and Mid-Mo Ambulance.
