Under the proposed change, $4.6 million (up from $4.5 million) of the project cost would be reimbursable project costs -- or 14.9 percent up from 14.8 percent.

The Osage Beach TIF Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the City Hall to consider an amendment to the Osage Beach Commons TIF plan.

This would be the first amendment the TIF Commission — and ultimately the board of aldermen — is being asked to consider. Osage Beach Commons is an estimated $30.5 million retail development proposed for east of the Passover Road/Osage Beach Parkway intersection.

It would be on property now occupied by the closed Jake's Steak and Fish Restaurant and Golden Door Motel, in addition to several acres southeast of those vacant buildings. Total redevelopment area is 13.71 acres.

The amendment that will be considered proposes to amend the estimated redevelopment project cost to include the cost of repaving Jayhawk Road at a cost of $50,000. This reimbursable cost would be added to the TIF plan for Osage Beach Commons, bringing the total estimated project cost to $30.5 million, up from $30.4 million.

Under the proposed change, $4.6 million (up from $4.5 million) of the project cost would be reimbursable project costs -- or 14.9 percent up from 14.8 percent.

Jayhawk Road is on the southwest side of the Golden Door Motel.

The TIF Commission will make a recommendation to the board of aldermen regarding the proposed amendment.
