Lake Regional Health System is pleased to welcome Kevin Byrne, D.O., to Lake Regional Medical Group, effective Oct. 1. Dr. Byrne’s clinic name will change from The Lake’s Liver and Digestive Health Center to Lake Regional Gastroenterology. The office location will still be Lake Regional Medical Suites, 1029 Nichols Road, Suite 201, Osage Beach.
“Dr. Byrne has long been a member of the Lake Regional Health System medical staff, and we look forward to this greater partnership,” said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. “His patients now will be able to access information about their clinic visits through the same Lake Regional Patient Portal used for their Lake Regional Hospital visits and labs.”
Dr. Byrne specializes in treating conditions that affect the gastrointestinal organs, which include the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver. He began working at Lake Regional in 1995.
Earlier this year, Dr. Byrne was named Lake Regional Health System’s 2017 Physician of the Year. This annual award recognizes physicians who demonstrate professionalism, integrity, a collaborative spirit and a positive attitude.
Dr. Byrne received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and he completed his residencies in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the University of Nebraska. He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Byrne’s contributions to Lake Regional include serving on the Lake Regional Health System Board of Directors. He is currently the chair of the Public Relations Committee and a member of the Quality Committee. He is also a previous board chair.
