A 50-year-old Prairie Village, Kan. woman was found floating and deceased Sunday morning by kayakers on Lake of the Ozarks, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Marine Division boating incident report.

Update Monday 10:15 a.m.: An autopsy of Miller has been scheduled for today in Springfield.

INITIAL REPORT: A 50-year-old Prairie Village, Kan. woman was found floating and deceased Sunday morning by kayakers on Lake of the Ozarks, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Marine Division boating incident report. 

At approximately 8:28 a.m. on September 24, 2017, Amy A. Miller was found without a safety device in an unnamed cove off the main channel near the 26.3-mile marker. 

She was pronounced deceased at the scene at 10:42 a.m. by Camden County Medical Examiner Wendy Pryor, according to the report. The victim was transported to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton by the funeral home.
