Osage Beach has been chosen to host the PCA's 63rd annual Porsche Parade from July 8-14, a week filled with numerous events for kids, families and sports car enthusiasts.

The Porsche Club of America, described by American business magazine Forbes as the largest single-brand club in the world with more than 100,000 members, will descend on Lake of the Ozarks for a week in 2018.

Osage Beach has been chosen to host the PCA’s 63rd annual Porsche Parade from July 8-14, a week filled with numerous events for kids, families and sports car enthusiasts.

Headquartered in Columbia, Md., the national car club puts on a variety of events each year involving racing, reunions and shows with the annual parade being the largest event of the year.

According to a promotion flyer for the 2018 event, Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach will serve as headquarters and the PCA touts the Lake of the Ozarks’ dining, outdoor, attractions and shopping opportunities as well as the resort’s accommodations for visiting guests.

Events featured at the 2017 parade in Spokane, Wash., featured a 5K run, autocross event, gimmick rallies, a golf tournament, kids parade, RC car races, a tech academy, rallies, and the Concours d’Elegance, meaning a ‘competition of elegance’ which dates back to 17th century France when horse-drawn carriages were first used.

Other locations chosen in the past have included Salt Lake City, Utah; Savannah, Ga.; French Lick, Ind.; and St. Charles, Ill.

Attractions in previous events held around the country featured historic Porsche displays, banquets, car washes, safety and technical inspections, driving tours and seminars.

The Concours d’Elegance is available to be viewed by any members of the public wishing to view the lineup of judged, non-judged and historic Porshes, however, all other parade week areas and events require online pre-registration.
