Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach welcomes Dane W. Henry as its new chief executive officer. Henry, who has more than 24 years of health care experience, joined Lake Regional on Monday, Sept. 18.
“Dane Henry is an experienced executive who has a demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership,” said Corey ten Bensel, president of the Lake Regional Health System Board of Directors. “Following an extensive search that included many well-qualified candidates, it was clear Mr. Henry will provide a strong focus on patient-centered care. The board is confident he will build on the past successes of Lake Regional, while bringing new ideas that complement our goals for serving the lake area and strengthening community relationships.”
Before joining Lake Regional, Henry served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at DeKalb Regional Healthcare System in Decatur, Ga. Previously, he served as vice president of operations for Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Health System in Gainesville. There, his achievements included leading the creation of a trauma program that formalized and dramatically improved trauma care.
Early on in his career, Henry served as an Air Force officer focused on medical logistics and readiness. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Purchasing and Operations Management/Business Management from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
Henry has been married for 25 years to his wife, Jennifer, and they have four children, two in college and two still at home.
Henry said he is looking forward to advancing Lake Regional’s strengths.
“This is an organization that has a bright future,” he said. “It’s rare to find a hospital this size with the breadth and depth of services available here. I want residents and visitors of the lake area to know we are committed to providing dependable, advanced, comprehensive care.”
Henry succeeds Michael E. Henze, who served as Lake Regional Health System’s chief executive officer for more than 27 years.
“Mike Henze is leaving a lasting legacy, and it is an honor to follow him,” Henry said. “He and his team have provided the opportunity to take a strong organization and make it even stronger. I am looking forward to building on their success.”
