A Peculiar, Mo. man suffered serious injuries in a collision involving two motorcycles in Miller County Saturday afternoon.

A Peculiar, Mo. man suffered serious injuries in a collision involving two motorcycles in Miller County Saturday afternoon.

Darrel W. Pettay, 57, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. The driver of the other motorcycle - Emerson M. Lemka, 51, of Latour, Mo. - was not listed as injured in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The collision of the two motorcycles occurred on Business 54 about 1,098 feet west of Bagnell Dam shortly after 2:15 p.m. Sept. 16, 2017.

The report stated that the accident occurred as the westbound 2011 Electro Glide Harley Davidson being driven by Pettay collided into the back of the westbound 2015 Street Glide Harley Davidson being driven by Lemka as the Street Glide had been attempting to make a left hand turn. 

The crash report indicated Pettay was wearing a helmet; Lemka was not.

Both bikes received minor damage.
