A 70-year-old man convicted of sexual abuse in 1990 has been arrested and charged with sodomy and child molestation, according to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff's Office.

A 70-year-old man convicted of sexual abuse in 1990 has been arrested and charged with sodomy and child molestation, according to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff's Office. 

Edgar Bilyeu, of Kaiser, was arrested on September 12, 2017 after deputies responded to a complaint of child molestation. The victim reported Bilyeu had sexual contact with her at an address in Kaiser, at an undisclosed date and time, according to the release. 

Prior to the arrest, deputies conducted further investigation and interviewed Bilyeu, who allegedly admitted to having sexual contact with victim. 

Bilyeu was convicted of sexual abuse of a 10-year-old in 1990 in Camden County and is currently a registered sex offender, the release stated. 

He has been charged with two counts of first degree sodomy and first degree child molestation, and is currently being held on a $200,000 bond in the Miller County Adult Detention Center, the release concluded.
