A 43-year-old Versailles woman suffered injuries described as minor during a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Cole County, while an Iberia man was involved in a Miller County crash earlier in the day.
A 43-year-old Versailles woman suffered injuries described as minor during a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Cole County, while a 20-year-old Iberia man was involved in a separate Miller County crash earlier in the day, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports.
At approximately 5:55 p.m. on September 8, 2017, Linda S. Albin was driving a 2013 Nissan Altima westbound on Route C, roughly .1 of a mile west of South Country Club Drive while a 2011 Chevrolet Impala being also being driven westbound by 29-year-old Cassie L. Allee, of Jefferson City, stopped for turning traffic and was struck in the rear by the Altima.
There were two passengers in the Impala including one-year-old male, Paxton D. McBaine, of Jefferson City, who was transported to Capital Regional Medical Center with injuries described as minor. The other passenger, 30-year-old Jacklyn S. Price of California, Mo., was listed with injuries described as minor and refused medical treatment at the scene along with Albin and Allee.
All four involved were listed with seat belts, while both vehicles were listed with extensive damage.
In a separate two-vehicle crash at approximately 12:20 p.m. in Miller County, a St. James man suffered injuries described as minor while an Iberia man was uninjured.
The crash occurred at 8 Majestic Oaks Road and involved a 2008 Freightliner being driven by 58-year-old Gabriel R. Felan, of St. James, and a 2006 Ford Explorer being driven by 20-year-old Dallas M. Davenport, of Iberia.
According to the report, "crash occurred as vehicle 1 (Freightliner) was making a left turn onto MO-W from a private driveway and pulled into the path of vehicle 2 (Explorer), which was traveling southbound on MO-W."
Davenport attempted to avoid the collision by steering to the left and struck the Freightliner on the driver's side, which caused the Explorer to run off the left side of the roadway, according to the report.
Felan was transported by Miller County Ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Both drivers were listed with seat belts. The Freightliner was listed as totaled while the Explorer was listed with extensive damage.
