Two people from Versailles were transported for medical treatment, listed with minor injuries, following a one-vehicle crash in Moniteau County Tuesday evening.

Two people from Versailles were transported for medical treatment, listed with minor injuries, following a one-vehicle crash in Moniteau County Tuesday evening. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, at approximately 5:45 p.m. on September 5, 2017, Gerald E. Hamlett, 77, was driving a 2003 Lincoln Town Car with 78-year-old Mary L. Hamlett as a passenger on westbound Route C, roughly 100 feet west of Carney King Road, when the crash occurred. 

The vehicle ran off the right side of the road way and struck a fence before it returned to the road and and ran off the left side of the roadway and struck another fence, according to the report. 

Gerald was transported by Cole County EMS to St. Mary's Hospital, while Mary was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital. Both were listed with seat belts. 

The vehicle was listed with moderate damage. MSHP was assisted by the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office.
