A 27-year-old St. Louis woman suffered injuries described as moderate and was transported via ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital following a wake incident on the Lake of the Ozarks Sunday.

A 27-year-old St. Louis woman suffered injuries described as moderate and was transported via ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital following a wake incident on the Lake of the Ozarks Sunday. 

Molly G. Heitmann was an occupant in a 2017 Regal vessel being piloted westbound by Glenn M. Heitmann, 56, of Ballwin, at approximately noon on September 3, 2017 at the 13.1-mile marker of the Osage Arm. The incident type was listed as "person(s) impacts watercraft." 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Marine Division boating incident report, the crash occurred "as vessel 1 struck a large wake causing passenger 1 to became(sic) airborne and impacted(sic) the watercraft." 

Neither driver nor passenger were listed with a safety device. No other injuries were reported and there was no damage to the vessel, according to the report.
