Schulte was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado west on Highway 52 around 12:31 a.m. Sept. 3 when the pickup went off the right side of the roadway east of Route PP. The vehicle became airborne and struck a tree.

An Iberia teen was airlifted to treatment following a crash in Miller County Sept. 3. 

Brandon R. Schulte, 17, received injuries described as serious in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report and was flown by the Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital for treatment.

Schulte was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.

At 1:32 a.m. Schulte was arrested by the MSHP for driving while intoxicated, minor in possession of alcohol, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a motor vehicle crash and no seat belt. He was released for medical care.
