A total of seven cars were involved in a series of relatively minor collisions Friday evening in Laclede County that led to injuries for a 60-year-old Lebanon man, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

A total of seven cars were involved in a series of relatively minor collisions Friday evening in Laclede County that led to injuries for a 60-year-old Lebanon man, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. 

The crashes occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. on September 1, 2017 on northbound Highway 5 south of Odessa Road in Troop I. Richard L. Starnes, 60, of Lebanon, was the only driver or occupant involved listed with minor injuries and transported by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.

According to the crash summary, "Vehicle 1 was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn. Vehicles 2, 3, 4 and 5 were stopped behind vehicle 1. Vehicle 7 impacted the rear of vehicle 5 which struck vehicle 4 when then struck vehicle 3. Vehicle 7 then struck vehicles 2 and 1. Vehicle 6 was struck by debris from initial impact of vehicle 5."
