A 31-year-old Lake Ozark woman was life-flighted to University Hospital following a wreck in Osage County Friday afternoon, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Melinda S. Dawson was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot eastbound on MO-50, roughly 600-feet west of County Road 800, when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming, eastbound 2013 Chevrolet Equinox being driven by 35-year-old Megan K. Clinton, of Holts Summit.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:24 p.m. on September 1, 2017. Dawson, listed with a seat belt, was flown by Staff For Life to the Columbia hospital. Clinton, also listed with a safety belt, was not listed with any injuries. However, Dawson's injury was listed twice in the unofficial crash report with the difference being that she was transported by Osage County EMS to University Hospital.

Both vehicles were listed as totaled.

The Lake Sun will update this report if and when changes are made to the MSHP crash report.
