The car went off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.
A Lee’s Summit woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Miller County and later arrested.
Lauren N. Demayo, 28, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report described as moderate.
The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. Aug. 29 on Village Marina Road. According to the report, Demayo was eastbound in a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix when the car failed to negotiate a curve about one-tenth of a mile west of Route W. The car went off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.
The Pontiac was described as totaled by the MSHP. The report also indicated Demayo was not wearing a seatbelt.
At 8:49 p.m. Demayo was arrested by the MSHP for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner resulting in a crash, no seatbelt, failure to register the motor vehicle and operating without a valid license. She was released on summons to the hospital.
