Louis was employed at the Fisher Body Plant in Willow Springs, Illinois as a general supervisor of the tool and die department. He retired after over thirty years of employment. He enjoyed woodworking and was truly a master craftsman. His expertise included nearly every facet of home construction.

Louis K. Kulhanek, age 81, of Camdenton, passed away Thursday, August 10 at his home. He was born October 21, 1935, in Milladore, Wisconsin, a son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Czaikowski) Kulhanek.
He was married to Ruth Kulhanek and together they had four sons, Kenneth, Robert, Scott and Michael. He later married Rosa Kulhanek.

He was an outdoorsman who loved spending time hunting and fishing.
Louis was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, the Osage Community Elks Lodge 2705 in Laurie and a life member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his sons: Kenneth Kulhanek and wife Jeannie; Robert Kulhanek and wife Lynn; Scott Kulhanek and wife Allison; and Michael Kulhanek; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; step-children, Selina, Joe and Richard; five step-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Kulhanek and wife Patricia; sister, Irene Pasquini and husband Robert and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Kulhanek and a sister, Janet Verba.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie. Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Dogwood Animal Shelter.
